The candidates you meet through us
will have completed a detailed application as well as
a thorough interview with our Placement Counselors.
We speak to each reference at length and write up a
detailed summary for your review. In addition to verifying
recent work experience, we request documentation of
legal residence. We do criminal background checks to
include driving record.

What
do you require of all your candidates?
We have a minimum requirement of 2
years of private home professional experience. Candidates
are required to have verifiable, previous work experience
in a home or similar industry. Based on your information
and job description, we will execute a search to match
your requirements.

How
do I know which candidates are right for my needs?
Your search process will be streamlined
with the support of an experienced Placement Counselor
who will help you create a job description. Your Placement
Counselor will let you know all of the candidates in
our active database who match your job profile. You
will interview the candidate at your convenience and
our search will be tailored according to your ongoing
feedback.
When you meet a candidate you are
interested in hiring, we suggest a 2 -3 day Working
Interview to see if the candidate meets your specific
needs. You will be required to pay the candidate for
this time according to the salary agreement you negotiate
with them in advance.

What
is the Agency fee?
There is a non-refundable annual Registration
Fee of $295. This fee covers consultation, search and
the registration of a long-term placement and the use
of our "Temporary/Short Term Services" for
one year from the date of registration.
Our professional fee is 25% of gross
annual salary or $3000, whichever is greater. Our fee
is due when an offer of employment has been accepted
and an agreed-upon start date has been confirmed by
the employer and employee.
The fee for our service is due if
a candidate is hired, directly or indirectly, by an
employer who has listed their job opening with our Agency.
Fees for pre-employment background
checks are included in our placement fee after a job
offer has been made and accepted.
Employers who introduce our candidates to another employer
will be responsible for payment of the placement fee.
SS@MA conducts in-depth interviews
of clients to identify specific requirements in order
to create a suitable match between employer and employee.
In the event that you terminate employment during the
first 4 months of employment, we will offer you a partial
credit of your original fee to be applied towards a
future search. This credit is prorated based on the
employee's last day in the position. Our Referral Agreement
provides a detailed outline of all the terms and fees
mentioned.

Since 1979, we have been successfully
placing experienced candidates in homes throughout the
Washington metro area. We are proud to work with service
providers who have completed long-term assignments through
us and have returned to us for further placement. We
also partner with other leading agencies to conduct
nationwide searches for qualified candidates.
